by : Jerry Avalos pre-2000: This is one of the few school projects that made it into my portfolio. It was a project of recreating a mythical character which I chose Nike. Nike of Samothrace has always been one of my favorite sculptures so this in a way is a tribute. Plus to me victory means joy, and I don't mean in an entirely competitive context. We all have challenges that we face in life and art, over coming this represent victories of ours that help better us as people. This was done using 3D studio Max, Poser, and photoshopo. The environment was rendered in 3d Studio max, the figure was done in poser, and the finishing touches including the entire dress was done in photoshop by hand.
