- 8th -VENUS RETROGRADE UNTIL 11-18-10-: Venus goes into retrograde today, fitting that it happens on the day associated with the planet too! That means Venus will stay relatively motionless in the sky until November 18th. Seeing how Venus has increased it's auroral brightneess by 2500% in less then 30 years, it will be easier for us to see hanging out in Scorpio. While leaving Libra, make sure to say hi to the new neighbors! And an important note, the Magic Eight-Ball says that this Retrograde means "Definitely"...so take that into careful consideration PLEASE!
You might also want to look out for a shift in matters of love, romance, friendships, emotion, art/beauty, harmony, attraction and passions to say the least. Most people think retrogrades mean the opposite of the planet's virtue will happen, or that they are inherently bad; but this is a somewhat limiting view. As famous American psychic Edgar Cayce said, the stars incline they don't compel. With that in mind, it would seem most retrogrades at their core seem to be associated with "fated", "destined", or "soul contracted" events in our lives that are made to enhance who we truly are. Sometimes that means adversity, sometimes it doesn't.
What is interesting is that both Jupiter, which has been in retrograde since July 23 2010, will go direct the same day as Venus on November 18th 2010. It would be a good idea to take personal inventory of who you are and want to be; that way come Novemeber you can use that energy of the largest planetary body in our solar system and the planet of love swinging back into full forward motion to propel your spirit in a profound way!
